Threshold to Recovery
Description:
Threshold Centers offer a non-traditional approach to substance abuse recovery with a range of options including all-night 12-step meetings, acupuncture, meditation, Tai Chi and Buprenorphine--a new medication for opiate dependence. Three grass-roots programs in low-income Baltimore neighborhoods will collaborate with the Baltimore City substance abuse authority to increase service hours and provide enhanced services. Embracing people at all stages of addiction and recovery, and providing a safe haven from street drug culture, this holistic model has attracted enthusiastic support from a large and diverse group of local funders.
